Booking and Directions
Booking with us is deliberately simple: no online forms, no account, no prepayment. You send a message, we reply with available times, you pick one. Most bookings are completed in two or three messages, and we handle them in English.
This page covers everything practical: opening hours, how to reach us from the parts of Istanbul visitors usually stay in, parking, payment, cancellation and what happens in the first ten minutes after you arrive. If anything here doesn't answer your question, message us — we would rather answer twenty small questions than have you arrive unsure.
Opening hours and how to book
We are open every day from 10:00 to 22:00, seven days a week including Sundays and public holidays. The last session starts at 21:00; longer formats — hammam blocks, the VIP package — need an earlier start, generally by 19:00 to 19:30.
To book, send us a WhatsApp message with three things: the day, a time window ("Thursday after 6pm" works fine), and either the session you want or a sentence about what you need. We reply with available slots and, once you choose, that's it. There is no deposit and no prepayment. If you prefer to call, our line is answered from 10:00 until the last session begins. For same-day bookings, weekday mornings and early afternoons are usually available; evenings and weekends benefit from a day or two of notice.
Getting here: metro, taxi and driving
We are in central Bağcılar, on the European side. By metro: the M1B line stops at Bağcılar Meydan, a short walk from us; if you are on the M3 (Başakşehir–Kayaşehir corridor), change at Kirazlı and come one stop. By metrobus: get off at Şirinevler or Yenibosna, then take a short bus ride or a five-minute taxi. By taxi: show the driver the location pin we send with your booking confirmation; Bağcılar Meydan is a landmark every Istanbul driver knows. By car: we are reachable from both the E-5 (via the İncirli or Şirinevler exits) and the TEM motorway (via the Mahmutbey toll junction).
Typical journey times outside peak traffic: Istanbul Airport 35-45 minutes; Taksim 30-40 minutes; Sultanahmet 35-45 minutes; Bakırköy and the Marmara coast 15-20 minutes; Beylikdüzü and the western districts 25-35 minutes. Message us your hotel or district and we will send the fastest current route.
Parking, arrival and the first ten minutes
Parking: street parking and covered car parks are available within a few minutes of the salon. If you are driving, mention it when booking and we will send the most practical option for that time of day — evening hours are busier and the covered option is easier.
Arrival: come 10 to 15 minutes before your appointment; if it is your first visit, 15 minutes is better. You will be welcomed at reception and asked a few short questions — your pressure preference, any sensitive areas, any health conditions we should know about, and your oil or scent preference. This conversation is not a formality: it is what allows the therapist to build the session around you. Your answers are recorded, so on your second visit you won't need to repeat them.
Then you are shown to your room. The therapist explains the draping, steps out, and you change privately. Lockers are provided for belongings. After the session there is no rush — herbal tea, a shower if you want one, and a few minutes to come round are all part of the booking.
Payment, cancellation and gift bookings
Payment is made after the session, in cash or by debit or credit card, including international cards. Prices are in Turkish lira and the amount quoted when you book is the amount you pay — there are no service charges, mandatory gratuities or mid-session upgrades. Tipping is optional and never implied.
Cancellation: no deposit is taken and no cancellation fee is charged. If your plans change, a short message is all we ask — it lets us offer the slot to someone else. Rescheduling is equally simple; we prefer "can we move it to Saturday?" over a silent no-show. Gift bookings: we open flexible-date gift records on WhatsApp, valid for three months, with a printable gift note — the recipient chooses their own day and pays nothing at the salon.
For visitors: language, timing and etiquette
Language: booking and pre-session conversation are handled in English. During the session, communication is simple and practical — "a little lighter", "a little deeper" — and our therapists understand these clearly. If you prefer written communication for medical notes, send them on WhatsApp before you arrive.
Timing your visit: if you are sightseeing, a morning session (10:00-13:00, from ₺1,200) leaves the day free and is the cheapest slot we offer; if you have been walking the city all day, an evening session is the better reward. Avoid booking a long hammam block immediately before a flight — the point of the ritual is not having to rush afterwards.
Etiquette: phones on silent and in the locker; arrive no less than 90 minutes after a full meal; no alcohol before a session (we do not treat guests who have been drinking, for safety reasons). Beyond that, there is nothing to learn — the staff will guide you through everything else.
Questions we're happy to answer before you book
Some things are easier to settle by message than to worry about in advance. We are regularly asked, and happy to confirm: whether we accept male guests (yes), whether a female therapist can be requested (yes, no extra charge), whether the hammam is private (yes, by appointment), whether we treat guests with medical conditions (with a doctor's approval and full disclosure — tell us and we adapt), whether children are admitted (our salon serves adult guests), and whether we offer any service beyond professional massage and spa (no — this is stated on every page of our site and enforced at the door).
That last point deserves its plain statement here as well, because it is the question visitors to Istanbul most often want answered and least often feel able to ask: Lila Spa provides professional massage and spa services only. Guests arriving with any other expectation are politely turned away. This clarity is what allows our therapists to work with confidence and every guest — women, men and couples — to walk in without hesitation.
